Shortly after arriving at Northwestern’s campus, cherubs learned of their limited modes of transportation. The rules were: no entering a vehicle unless authorized and no using a bike to get around Evanston. That left walking and chaperoned trips into the city on the ‘L,’ Chicago’s public transportation system. The news was not well-received as the summer heat intensified, but most cherubs embraced the change.
